Is Your Child Meeting Developmental Markers?
Autism (ASD) diagnosis is available for children ages 1–8 at Atlanta Autism Center. Our comprehensive ABA services include initial diagnosis, ongoing care and management, support with communication and activities of daily living, ABA, Speech, and Occupational Therapies, as well as referrals to specialty care when needed.
By 12 Months:

- Does not respond to their name by 9 months
- Does not show facial expressions such as happy, sad, angry, or surprised by 9 months
- Does not play simple interactive games, such as pat-a-cake, by 12 months
- Uses few or no gestures by 12 months, such as waving goodbye
By 16 Months:

- Limited or inconsistent eye contact
- Does not point to show others something interesting
- Delays in language or communication
- Unusual reactions to sounds, smells, tastes, textures, or other sensory experiences
By 24 Months:

- Does not notice when others are hurt or upset
- Does not say at least two words together
- Does not point to things in a book when asked
- Stops gaining new skills or loses skills previously acquired
